This 300-page tome retains much of Heald’s brilliantly detailed accounts of Year 2, now unified with my own painstaking research into the making of Space: 1999‘s first series. This includes the contextual events surrounding the development and stumbling successes of Century 21 Productions’ other live-action works prior to Space: 1999 (UFO, Doppelganger, The Protectors) and in-depth investigations of Year 1’s production itself.
